We recently vacationed in South Dakota, visited Mount Rushmore, toured the Badlands, along US 240, the only paved road through the Badlands, a 35 mile loop through the most colorful and beautiful landscape that you could imagine. We also visited a new construction site for Chief Crazy Horse, saw a group of native Americans perform ceremonial dances. They also invited children to join in on their dance, but unfortunately, not many children accepted their invitation. We came upon a family at one of the lakes by Mount Rushmore, diving off of very high boulders into the lake. We hope that you enjoy some of the pictures that we took.
Here is Mount Rushmore and pictures of scenery around the area. We also have some night pictures, showing the monument lit up.
